Antonia Prinz (1999) je mladou nemeckou umelkyňou, ktorá má schopnosť vidieť okolo seba množstvo podivuhodných vecí. Opakovane pracuje s témou gýču, ktorý transformuje podľa princípu čím viac absurdity, tým lepšie. Imitácia leopardej kože, sklenené gule a lacné trblietky sa stávajú súčasťou výskumu hraníc umenia. Autorku fascinujú zrkadlenia halucinačných možností „krajiny zázrakov“, nedopovedané vety, ktoré nechávajú priestor na imagináciu. Malé príbehy sú pritom dôležitým medzníkom chápania sveta, ktorý v skutočnosti nechce byť pochopený.
Kresba Hello I have 1 dog je v línii autorkiných portrétov rodiny, priateľov a známych. Zobrazuje jej starého otca so psom. Rozkošný pudlík je vyšľachtenou rasou, ktorá spĺňa predstavu o milom, prítulnou zvieratku, ktoré ostáva večným mláďaťom. Podobnosť pudlíka s plyšovou hračkou navádza autorku na aplikáciu pojmu gýč. „Je pudlík gýčom?“ Je páčivý, je detinský, je znázornením ľudskej projekcie sveta.
Antonia Prinz v r. 2017 - 2021 študovala na Hochschule der bildenden Künste Essen, kde žije.

Antonia Prinz (1999) is a young German artist who has the ability to see many wonderful things around her. She repeatedly works with the theme of kitsch, which transforms according to the principle: the more absurdity, the better. Imitation of leopard leather, glass balls and cheap glitters are becoming part of research of the boundaries of art. The author is fascinated by the reflections of the hallucinatory possibilities of the "land of miracles", the untold sentences that leave some space for imagination. At the same time, small stories are an important milestone in understanding the world, which in fact does not want to be understood.
Drawing Hello I have 1 dogie is in the line of the author's portraits of family, friends and acquaintances. It shows her grandfather with a dog. The adorable poodle is a selected breed that fulfils the idea of a lovely, affectionate animal that remains an eternal puppy. The similarity of the poodle with a plush toy leads the author to the application of the term kitsch. "Is a poodle a kitsch?" It's attractive, it's childish, it's a representation of the human projection of the world.
Antonia Prinz studied in the yrs 2017 – 2021 at the Hochschule der bildenden Künste in Essen, where she lives.
